Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on national transit mega projects. Based in any HNTB office, travel will be required to project offices, with accountability for delivering quality work on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction.

You will develop client relationships, manage project finances, staff assignments, and coordinate with senior leaders to pursue mega and super mega opportunities, including preparing proposals and participating in interviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 12 years of relevant experience including 6 years of experience managing mega and/or super mega projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects.
• Responsible for financial performance on projects including cash, budget, schedule and project scope to ensure goals and client satisfaction.
• Sets priorities, obtains commitments, and staffs projects according to the project Work Plan.
• Collaborates with office and division leadership to staff projects and meet business objectives.
• Supervises and mentors the team; oversees Project Manager(s); staffing, development, retention, and compensation reviews.
• Leads pursuits of mega projects; develops long-term strategies and leads proposals/interviews with clients and industry.
