Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on mega transit projects across the United States. The role emphasizes delivering quality work on time and on budget, collaborating with contractors, and managing staffing and performance across projects.

The position requires significant experience managing large-scale design-build transit programs, coordination with client service leaders, and travel to project offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 12 years of relevant experience including 6 years of mega and/or super mega project delivery.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification in multiple states (preferred).
• DBIA certification (preferred).
• PMP certification (preferred).
• Experience leading Design Build transit projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects.
• Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate solutions and strategies.
• Responsible for financial performance on projects; manages cash, budget, schedule and project scope to meet goals and client satisfaction.
• Sets priorities, staffs projects per Work Plan, and collaborates with leadership to allocate resources.
• Leads pursuits of mega projects and develops long-term strategies with clients and pursuit teams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
