Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on large transit infrastructure projects nationwide, including mega and super mega sizes. This officer-level role requires extensive experience collaborating with contractors and leading project teams, with accountability for delivering quality work on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 12 years of relevant experience including 6 years leading mega projects.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• PE certification in multiple states (including CA).
• DBIA certification.
• PMP certification.
• Prior Design Manager leadership on Design Build transit projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and nurture key client relationships; serve as primary contact on projects.
• Manage financial performance; oversee cash, budget, schedule, and scope.
• Staff projects; allocate resources per Work Plan; staff recruitment and retention.
• Collaborate with leadership to solve challenges and meet objectives.
• Lead pursuits of mega projects; present proposals to clients and industry.
• Mentor and supervise project staff and project managers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
