Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on nationally significant transit projects. The role requires extensive experience partnering with contractors and guiding design teams on mega-scale programs, with accountability for quality, schedule, and budget.

The position offers opportunities to shape major infrastructure initiatives, travel to project offices, and drive successful outcomes for diverse clients across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 12 years of experience, including 6 years delivering mega/super mega projects.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced theory and leadership in complex transit programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and serves as primary contact on projects.
• Manages project financials, cash flow, budget, schedule and scope to meet goals.
• Staffing staffing plans and resource allocation across project work plans.
• Lead pursuits for mega projects and present proposals and interviews to clients.
• Provide mentorship and supervise project staff and PMs where applicable.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to achieve business objectives.
