Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on large-scale transit infrastructure projects. This officer-level role demands substantial experience collaborating with contractors and guiding design managers on nationally significant projects, with project fees ranging from $25 million to over $100 million.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience, including 6 years delivering mega and/or super mega projects.
• Master’s degree and/or professional certifications are preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification in multiple states (including CA) is preferred.
• DBIA certification and PMP are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and serves as primary company contact on assigned projects.
• Manages financial performance, cash, budget, schedule, and scope to meet project goals and client satisfaction.
• Staffs projects by coordinating with leadership to allocate resources and staff according to the Work Plan.
• Collaborates with leadership to solve challenges and achieve business objectives.
• Leads project staffing, recruitment, development, retention, and performance reviews as needed.
• Leads pursuits of mega projects, develops long-term client strategies, and guides proposals and presentations.
