Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on major transit design-build projects. The role requires extensive experience working with contractors and directing teams on nationally significant infrastructure initiatives.

The position involves travel to project offices and may be based in any HNTB office; accountability includes delivering quality work on time and on budget, while achieving client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 12 years of relevant experience including 6 years of experience successfully managing and delivering mega or super mega projects.

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects.
• Responsible for financial performance on projects; manages cash, budget, schedule and scope to meet goals and client satisfaction.
• Staff projects by coordinating with Group Directors, Department Managers and/or Section Managers.
• Collaborates with leadership to solve challenges and ensure business objectives are met.
• Supervises and mentors team; oversees project staffing, recruitment, development, retention and performance reviews.
• Leads pursuits of mega projects; works with pursuit team to develop proposals and present to clients.
