Job summary

HNTB is seeking a DB Design Manager (Transit) to lead teams on large-scale transit projects and pursuits. This officer-level role requires extensive collaboration with contractors and a proven track record of guiding design teams on nationally significant initiatives.

The position can be based in any HNTB office and requires travel to project offices. You will be accountable for delivering quality work on time, on budget, and to client satisfaction on mega-scale engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field and 12 years of relevant experience including 6 years of experience successfully managing and delivering mega and/or super mega projects.
• Master’s degree and professional certifications are preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Develops and nurtures key client relationships and is the primary company contact on assigned projects.
• Responsible for financial performance on projects including cash, budget, schedule and project scope.
• Staffs projects according to the project Work Plan and coordinates resources with leadership.
• Collaborates with office/division leadership to solve challenges and meet business objectives.
• Supervises and mentors project teams, including overseeing Project Manager(s) and staff development.
• Leads pursuits of mega projects and develops long-term client strategies with pursuit teams.
