Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking an experienced Training Manager to lead company-wide learning initiatives, strengthening employee performance and leadership capability.

The role is hands-on, designing practical training for new hires, veterans, and emerging leaders while partnering with Operations, HR, Recruiting, Sales, and executive leadership to drive multi-location consistency and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience in training, learning and development, organizational development, or leadership development.
• Experience designing and facilitating training for employees at multiple levels.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Experience developing instructional materials, job aids, and training documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder priorities.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and LMS/HRIS experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver onboarding, operational, leadership, and professional development programs.
• Create instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning experiences for different roles and levels.
• Develop facilitator guides, presentations, job aids, and training documentation.
• Maintain training calendars and coordinate learning initiatives across departments and locations.
• Regularly review and update content to reflect priorities and operational needs.
