Job summary

The Pivot Group Network partners with Grandville-based manufacturers to recruit seasoned Tool and Die Makers for high-precision tooling environments. This role focuses on designing, building, and improving dies, fixtures, and tooling systems to meet exacting specifications in a fast-paced production setting.

Ideal candidates will read blueprints and 3D models, operate manual and CNC machines, and apply metallurgy knowledge to ensure quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tool and die making within manufacturing.
• Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience operating manual and CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders, EDMs).
• Solid understanding of metallurgy and heat treatment.
• Ability to perform precision measurements with inspection tools.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new dies, tools, and fixtures.
• Repair and maintain existing dies and tooling.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, and EDMs.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine operations.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot die performance and product quality issues.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize processes.
