Qualifications

• Completion of a formal apprenticeship in Tool and Die Making or related field.
• 5+ years of setup, operation, and maintenance of manual and CNC machining equipment.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Knowledge of metallurgy and heat treatment processes.
• Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
• Ability to design, build, and repair complex dies, molds, jigs, and fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Operates lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM machines.
• Interprets blueprints and engineering specifications.
• Troubleshoots and repairs tooling and dies.
• Performs precision measurement using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Collaborates with engineers and production staff to optimize tooling designs.
• Selects appropriate materials and heat treatments for tool longevity.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
