Qualifications

• Required: high school diploma; apprenticeship preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Demonstrated expertise operating manual and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, etc.).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Ability to perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, repair, and modify dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
• Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
• Troubleshoot and resolve tooling-related issues during production.
• Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
• Collaborate with engineers and production personnel on tool design and improvement.
