Job summary

Proofpoint, a global cybersecurity leader, seeks a Manager, Threat Protection Services to lead a team of Threat Strategy Managers across regions, driving proactive engagement and maximizing customer value. You will align team goals with corporate objectives, mentor staff, and guide day-to-day operations to defend customers against evolving threats.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in information security.
• 6+ years in client/professional services, sales engineering, senior support engineering, IT operations, or senior engineering with exposure to multiple tech areas.
• Managed security or consultancy experience required.
• Proven leadership ability with a history of motivating and inspiring teams.
• Experience with Proofpoint products and understanding of threat protection (Gateway, TAP, TRAP).
• Background in security with threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and coach a team of Threat Strategy Managers; serve as a role model for professional growth and technical excellence.
• Responsible for talent development—finding, hiring, developing, and retaining the best technical talent.
• Assign MBOs to team members aligned with corporate goals.
• Provide tactical and strategic guidance to the team daily.
• Identify and prioritize short-term and long-term goals for the team.
• Manage and monitor support interactions; advocate for Proofpoint customers.
• Respond to customer escalations and proactively elevate when needed.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and act as a point of escalation for issues.
