Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling and lead system-level studies. You will develop architectures to meet customer requirements, drive thermal modeling, and ensure performance compliance across disciplines.

You will work with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers on thermal, installation, mechanical, reliability, controls, electronics, and software, enabling production transition and on-time program execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 8–10 years of related experience.
• Deep expertise in thermal fluids: thermodynamics, heat transfer.
• Experience with thermal-fluid systems analysis and modeling.
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or Python for modeling.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810/DO-160 testing methods.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist System Engineer in developing system architecture and technical approach for thermal/controls analysis.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Lead modeling and analysis efforts; coordinate activities across engineering groups.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineer and Program Manager for modeling, analysis, and testing.
• Manage thermal and performance requirements and support traceability and verification.
