Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to lead analytical modeling and system architecture for thermal performance. You will work with diverse engineers, program managers, and customers to ensure design integrity and test data correlation.

The role emphasizes modeling, verification, and validation across VCS, LCS, and ACS domains, with remote or on-site options in St. George Utah. A base pay range is provided and a discretionary bonus plan is in place.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of thermal fluid sciences and systems analysis.
• Experience with vapor cycle, liquid cooling, or air cycle systems.
• Strong modeling and verification/validation capabilities.
• Familiarity with MIL-STD-810 and DO-160 testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing program system architecture and technical approach including thermal and controls analysis.
• Identify and manage thermal performance risks for the program.
• Lead modeling and analysis, coordinate with other engineering groups.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineer and Program Manager to ensure active development.
• Manage thermal/ performance requirements and traceability.
