Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a Head Teller to lead the branch experience for customers and teammates, coaching the team across customer engagement, service execution, operations, leadership and management. The Head Teller will role model policy compliance and refer sales opportunities while sharing in teller responsibilities.

The role emphasizes mentoring tellers, supervising daily operations, and collaborating with the Branch Manager to drive sales and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 2 years cash handling experience, including teller duties.
• Minimum of 1 year leadership experience.
• Minimum of 1 year customer experience in a sales environment preferred.
• Proven leadership, sales management, and coaching ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail with accuracy in transactions.
• Able to travel for training and between branches as needed.

Responsibilities

• Execute and coach the teller engagement process to ensure seamless service and sales opportunities.
• Maintain service knowledge standards in line with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Process deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs, official checks, etc.
• Balance daily operations, ordering supplies, ATM and vault balancing, and branch capture.
• Mentor and onboard new tellers; ensure training is completed.
• Participate in interviewing, selecting and training teammates.
• Supervise tellers and approve overrides; oversee daily staff and drawer balancing.
• Lead branch meetings on sales, service, and operations with the manager.
