Job summary

GCB is seeking a Teller Lead to oversee the teller line, deliver exceptional customer service, and ensure adherence to bank policies. The role acts as a lead resource for tellers, assists with complex transactions, and supports branch management in achieving operational objectives.

You will supervise daily teller activities, train tellers, balance cash, and monitor performance to maintain accuracy and service quality. The position emphasizes compliance with BSA/AML and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Previous banking, teller, or cash-handling experience.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Proficiency with banking software and standard office applications.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, wire transfers, and check cashing.
• Handle complex or escalated transactions requiring additional review or approval.
• Ensure adherence to all operational procedures, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist with opening and closing branch procedures as assigned.
• Supervise and coordinate daily teller line activities for efficient workflow and service.
• Provide training and coaching to tellers on procedures and compliance.
• Monitor teller performance and report issues to branch management.
• Assist in onboarding and training new tellers.
• Maintain and balance the branch vault, ATM cash, and teller cash supplies.
• Conduct daily teller drawer audits and cash verifications.
• Research and resolve teller outages and balancing discrepancies.
