Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or financial services training preferred.
• Previous banking or cash handling experience; supervisory or leadership experience a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of BayPort products and services with cross-selling ability.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex transactions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow security protocols.
• Flexibility to support the team and adapt to changing operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Process a variety of member transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide excellent member service and resolve product-related questions.
• Oversee vault management and currency handling.
• Order, verify, and coordinate cash shipments to the Federal Reserve.
• Maintain accurate cash inventories and perform cash audits.
• Supervise teller staff and provide daily guidance.
• Assist with teller scheduling and workflow consistency.
• Conduct monthly coaching sessions and document performance.
• Evaluate teller performance and take corrective actions.
• Resolve complex member complaints and corrections or adjustments.
• Address discrepancies in cash drawers and vaults.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and secure assets.
• Maintain branch cash security and regulatory compliance.
• Educate members about products to meet financial needs and support sales goals.
• Keep supervisors informed of branch issues.
• Participate in meetings and training to stay current.
• Attend ongoing training to improve leadership and service delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
