Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a Head Teller to oversee teller operations and ensure accurate cash handling at the Fairburn branch. You will supervise staff, perform audits, and deliver professional customer service while meeting sales and service goals.

The role requires 3+ years in customer service and 2+ years in teller or cash handling, with supervisory experience preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a finance-related degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience.
• 2+ years of teller experience or equivalent cash handling experience.
• 1 year of retail banking experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operations of teller functions including staffing schedules and audits.
• Provide prompt, professional customer service to customers and prospective customers.
• Operate the teller drawer and perform advanced, specialized teller functions including resolving cash discrepancies.
• Balance vaults and ATMs and balance each day; verify cash totals.
• Identify customer needs, cross-sell and refer within the branch.
