Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a Branch Operations/ Teller Specialist to coordinate customer service functions within the branch, monitor customer flow, and ensure operational excellence and compliance. The role includes supervising teller activities, audits, and assisting with complex transactions.

You will provide high-quality customer service, research cash discrepancies, and balance daily totals while maintaining product knowledge and driving sales referrals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field preferred.
• Teller training program completion and training post-test pass.
• Strong commitment to customer service and ability to meet sales/service objectives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Supervise teller operations, staffing schedules, audits, and performance inputs.
• Provide prompt, professional customer service to customers and prospective customers.
• Operate teller drawer and handle complex cash transactions and research discrepancies.
• Identify customer needs and cross-sell or refer to products and services.
• Maintain knowledge of banking products and promotions; balance vault and ATM.
• Support branch as needed and mentor colleagues.
