Job summary

Renasant Bank in Germantown, TN is seeking a Senior Teller to drive a best-in-class branch experience. You will handle transactions, identify and refer sales opportunities, and uphold bank policies to ensure accuracy and risk mitigation.

Senior Tellers serve as back-up to Head Teller and mentor teammates while achieving service and sales goals in a fast-paced environment. The role requires strong customer service and knowledge of banking products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year teller experience and/or cash handling experience preferred.
• 6 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate with customers and identify opportunities while processing transactions.
• 10-Key skills and math skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.
• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of bank products and solutions is beneficial.
• Ability to travel for training or branch coverage as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payoffs, and checks.
• Recognize customer needs and refer to appropriate banking platform for needs-based conversations.
• Execute Renasant Bank service standards in all customer and teammate interactions.
• Address customer concerns or refer to a branch teammate who can help.
• Maintain service knowledge aligned with regulations, policies and procedures.
• Assist with daily branch operations including balancing, supplies, ATM/vault balancing, and branch capture procedures.
• Protect the bank from risks by following compliance, risk, and operational procedures.
• Stay compliant with Teller policies and branch operation regulations.
• Support Head Teller with additional procedures and quarterly assessments; may mentor other tellers.
