Job summary

Heritage Children's Academy in Wake Forest, NC is seeking Lead Teachers for Pre-K and Preschool to join our family-oriented center. Qualified candidates hold an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or have equivalent credits; they must pass background checks and be ready to lead engaging daily lessons.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans 1 week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement weekly lesson plans across all areas of child development and maintain daily routines.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being; keep classroom organized, clean, and appropriately decorated.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual conferences in Nov and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children; lift up to 40 lbs; perform daily duties.

Heritage Children's Academy of Wake Forest is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers for the following age groups:

• Pre-K
• Preschool

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require the completion of an associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a relevant field OR the completion of an associate's or bachelor's degree with at least 12 early childhood education credits of their equivalent We also require the ability to pass all background checks.

Required Shift:

Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm

Compensation:

$16-20/hr; based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process for Lead Teachers:

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Teachers:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
