Job summary

The Growing Years of Greensboro is seeking a Lead Teacher to support Two's/Three's ages in our Greensboro center. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma and the ability to pass background checks; an associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field is preferred.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm. Compensation is $17–$18 per hour, depending on education and experience, with a strong benefits package and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans weekly, covering all areas of child development and follow classroom schedule.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child and maintain an organized, clean classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct parent/teacher conferences in November and May.

Our Hiring Process for Lead Toddler Teachers:

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Toddler Teachers:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
