Job summary

The Growing Years of Cary is seeking Lead Teachers to support Two's and Preschool age groups. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and either an associate's or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or 12 credits in ECE, with the ability to pass background checks. Monday–Friday shifts, 9:00am–6:00pm.

Compensation ranges from $17 to $19 per hour based on education and experience. We offer competitive pay, paid trainings with professional development, a strong benefits

Responsibilities

• Prepare developmentally appropriate lesson plans one week in advance using current curricula.
• Implement lesson plans weekly across all areas of child development and communicate with parents via app.
• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and well-being of each child and maintain a clean, organized classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios; conduct biannual conferences in November and May.
• Perform daily classroom duties and accommodate physical requirements of the role.

The Growing Years of Cary is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups:

• Two's
• Preschool

To be QUALIFIED for the Lead Teacher opportunity, we require a high school diploma and the ability to pass all background checks. We also require an associate's or a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a a completed associate's or bachelor's degree with at least 12 credits of early childhood education or their equivalent.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pm

Compensation: $17-$19 per hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities for Lead Teachers

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
