Job summary

Land of Learning in Sycamore, IL is seeking Lead Teachers to support Infants.

We require a CDA or at least 6 ECE college credits, and the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assessments and portfolios for each child and conduct parent/teacher conferences.

Land of Learning in Sycamore is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the following age groups:

Infants

Required Shift: (4/10s) Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri 7am-5:30pm

Compensation: $18 - $19/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
