Job summary

The Elegant Child in Missouri is seeking a Lead Teacher for the Two-Year-Old classroom. This full-time role requires lead teaching experience and the ability to pass all background checks; CDA or higher education in Early Childhood Education is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide high-quality care.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of each child and maintain a clean, safe classroom.
• Maintain child assessments and portfolios and conduct parent/teacher conferences in November and May.
• Demonstrate physical ability to work with small children (sitting, standing, walking, running, stairs).
• Carry out daily classroom responsibilities related to child care.

Lead Teacher for our Two-Year-Old classroom!

The Elegant Child is a licensed childcare center seeking a Lead Teacher for our Two-Year-Old classroom! To be qualified for this position, we require lead teaching experience, and the ability to pass all background checks. CDA or higher education in ECE preferred.

Required Shift

Monday - Friday, Full-time, 8am-5pm

Compensation

$17-18/hr. based on education and experience.

MainJob Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carryout lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Useour parent communication appefficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; andmaintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintaina child assessment and portfoliofor each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running,and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
