Job summary

A Child's Place of Antioch is a licensed childcare center seeking Lead Teachers to support the Preschool age group. The role requires qualification and the ability to pass all background checks, with a Monday - Friday, full-time, 4/10s (10 hour days, 4 days per week) schedule and a compensation of $19.25 - $20/hour based on education and experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson plans developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement weekly lesson plans covering all areas of child development and follow classroom schedule.
• Establish a professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Ensure safety and a clean, organized classroom; maintain child portfolios.
• Conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences in November and May.

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require Lead Qualification (6 ECE college credits OR current CDA) and the ability to pass all background checks.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, Full-time, 4/10s (10 hour days, 4 days per week)

Compensation: $19.25 - $20/hour, based on education and experience

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides.
• Implement lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development and carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine; Use our parent communication app efficiently.
• Establish a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.

• Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs; and maintaining an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom.
• Maintain a child assessment and portfolio for each child, as well as conduct biannual parent/teacher conferences during the month of November and May.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
• Carry out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
