Job summary

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen and able to obtain Public Trust (Tier 4).
• Extensive experience in a multi‑platform data center environment.
• Proficiency with VCenter, SAN Management, and iLO/iDRAC.
• Strong scripting skills: Perl and PowerShell.
• Knowledge of LDAP, DHCP, DNS; focus on security/compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead OS installation, configuration, monitoring, and support for VMware, storage, and appliance-based systems.
• Provide expert-level end-user support during core hours and rotational on-call after hours and weekends.
• Lead hardware/software change management procedures with the Change Advisory Board.
• Oversee troubleshooting and coordinate vendor hardware repairs.
• Analyze new server hardware/software requirements and devise deployment strategies.
• Harden servers to security baselines, maintain patches, and support security/compliance needs.
• Manage maintenance tasks and inventory for servers and software.
• Develop and maintain standard procedures for recurring activities.
• Lead backup/restore support and test annual restores; troubleshoot failed backups.
• Assist end-users during escalations and coordinate patches.
