Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience providing IT customer support and service.
• Experience in service ticket management.
• Proficient in desktop application support.
• Proficient in documentation and asset management.
• Hardware support for desktops and laptops.
• Experience with server maintenance is a plus.
• Network support experience is a plus.
• IT process management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure servers and related hardware according to standards and project requirements.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources and processes; review logs and backups.
• Monitor security and identify intrusions; apply OS patches and upgrades regularly.
• Verify daily backups and ensure data is stored safely; manage file archival and purge as needed.
• Create, change, and delete user accounts; provide Tier III/other support as requested by stakeholders.
• Coordinate with impacted constituencies and troubleshoot hardware or software failures.
• Maintain and update operating procedures; support capacity planning with performance reporting.
• Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment and perform performance tuning and hardware upgrades.
