Job summary

Avid Technology Professionals, LLC is seeking a skilled Linux/Unix System Engineer to manage physical and virtual server environments, including kernel management, OS installations, and infrastructure health.

The role covers security tooling (Nessus, McAfee), patch management (Red Hat Satellite, WSUS), AD integration with Centrify, ESXi, NetApp storage migrations, and performance tuning across Dell/HP servers.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining Linux/Unix ecosystems across physical and virtual servers.
• Proficient in kernel management, OS installation, and health monitoring.
• Experience patching and hardening to meet agency required standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot Linux/Unix servers in a mixed Windows/Unix environment.
• Patch systems with Red Hat Satellite and Windows WSUS, ensure compliance.
• Install and configure security tooling (Nessus, McAfee) and perform scans.
• Work with Centrify and DELL Active Roles for AD integration on Linux.
• Handle storage migrations from legacy NetApp equipment to newer solutions.
