Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Lead Field Engineer (Piling) for the SPL5 LNG project. The role starts in Houston and transitions to Sabine Pass, LA, supporting preconstruction and then long-term site work.

You will provide technical direction to Bechtel and subcontractor field supervision, ensuring piling operations meet design and safety standards while coordinating with project controls and field procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience (or 6–9 years without a degree).
• Experience with Bechtel Standard Work Process Procedures and BSAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical assistance, direction, and support to field supervision for piling operations.
• Developing installation work packages aligned with construction schedule.
• Preparing short- and long-term schedules and coordinating with site leadership.
• Performing field takeoffs from issued drawings and tracking quantities weekly.
• Issuing field material requisitions and monitoring orders and deliveries.
• Assisting procurement with inspections and maintenance planning.
• Troubleshooting design issues with engineering and fabricators using field docs.
• Ensuring installations comply with latest drawings, specs, and codes.
