Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Lead Field Engineer (Siteworks) to provide technical direction for ground improvement, earthworks, roads, and stormwater drainage on the SPL5 project in Louisiana. The role may begin in Houston, TX, with long-term assignment to the Sabine Pass, LA site, supervising Bechtel and subcontractor field teams.

You will develop installation work packages, support planning, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design drawings, specs, and quality plans, delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field plus 5–8 years of field engineering experience, or 9–12 years without a degree.
• Experience with Bechtel Standard Work Process Procedures.
• Experience with Bechtel BSAP systems.
• Ability to manage teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Performing inspections and initiating documentation for all discipline system installations.
• Supporting field supervision in manpower, tools, and material planning for work evolutions.
• Developing installation work packages for scopes of work.
• Preparing short- and long-term schedules and interfacing with Superintendents and other field engineers.
• Executing field material takeoffs from drawings and monitoring purchase orders.
