Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking a Lead Superintendent to independently manage field operations on a $5‑$50M project in Ohio. The role requires daily on-site presence and leadership of trade contractors to meet the approved schedule.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Construction Management with 7–12 years of superintendent experience on large commercial/industrial jobs, OSHA 30, STS‑C, and safety certifications. Salary ranges from $105,000 to $140,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 7–12 years of experience leading a component of work or a whole project valued at $30M+ on commercial/industrial construction.
• OSHA 30-hour certified.
• STS-C Certification.
• First Aid, CPR, AED, Stop the Bleed training.

Responsibilities

• Directs day-to-day coordination of trade contractors to meet the project schedule.
• Develops and communicates field work plans and changes.
• Maintains and uses project documentation to foresee issues.
• Orders and verifies permits for construction.
• Leads safety enforcement and contractor meetings.
• Keeps daily reports and schedules, updates contingency plans.
