Job summary

JE Dunn Construction in Des Moines, IA is seeking a Superintendent 1 to plan, manage and execute project work, including material and equipment, people management and documentation. You will partner with the project manager to meet goals, drive safety, quality and on-time delivery on complex jobs.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of construction experience and 1+ years in supervision, with a strong background in safety programs, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating field teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years construction experience.
• 1+ years field supervision experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet travel requirements.
• Willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project needs.

Responsibilities

• Leads safety culture and mentors staff for an injury-free environment.
• Manages subcontractors and coordinates overall job workflow.
• Oversees staff, subcontractors, suppliers and QA/QC programs.
• Develops work plans and coordinates project schedule with the PM.
• Ensures project documentation, logs and reports are complete.
