Electric Power Systems (EPS) seeks a Sr. Relay Technician to lead protection and control testing for substation and industrial systems.

You will conduct installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting across relay panels, transformers, and circuit breakers while managing field teams and project delivery. Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in the power industry, NETA familiarity, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Background check completed satisfactorily.
• Overtime and travel may be required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays in substations.
• Capable of troubleshooting distribution and transmission controls circuits.
• Knowledge of relay test software.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety briefings and enforce safety policies on job sites.
• Analyze protection schemes and supervise relay panel testing.
• Install, commission, test, and calibrate substation control circuits.
• Perform advanced end-to-end and functional relay testing with equipment.
• Develop project plans, outage sequences, and energization plans.
• Mentor Relay Technicians and interface with customers and stakeholders.
• Prepare comprehensive test and commissioning reports.
