Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking a senior protection and control design engineer in the United States for substation and transmission projects. You will lead engineering efforts, perform responsible charge duties, and oversee schedules, budgets, and team performance.

The role requires extensive experience, a PE license, and the ability to mentor staff while supporting proposals and business development efforts. On-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a practicing engineer.
• Bachelor's degree from an ABET/accredited Engineering Program or equivalent evaluation by NCEES, or advanced degree from ABET-accredited programs.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline work for projects and manage schedules and budgets.
• Design protection and control schemes for substation and transmission equipment.
• Develop and review design drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with multiple design disciplines.
• Support proposals, cost estimating, and business development.
