Job summary

Pike Engineering seeks a senior substation protection and control engineer to lead discipline work and provide technical direction for transmission substation projects, battery energy storage systems, and solar substations.

You will manage design efforts, budgets, and schedules while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development. Requires PE licensure and ABET/EAC accreditation; opportunity for impactful, multidisciplinary engineering leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET/EAC accredited Engineering Program or equivalent evaluation by NCEES or advanced degree in Engineering

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline work for projects and perform responsible-charge engineering duties
• Manage project schedules and budgets
• Support proposal development, cost estimating, and business development efforts
• Create and implement P&C design drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
• Oversee junior staff and mentor designers/drafters
• Coordinate with other design disciplines, construction contractors, and clients
