Job summary

Pike Engineering seeks an Engineer 4 - Protection and Control to provide substation protection and control design, engineering, and technical oversight for our transmission substation team. This role covers projects including utility substations, battery storage, and solar collector facilities.

You will lead engineers and designers, write specifications, create drawings, and mentor staff while managing budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a practicing engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree from ABET-accredited program.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

• Lead protection and control design for substation projects.
• Develop protection schemes and settings for bus, line, capacitor, and transformer protection.
• Create, review, and annotate drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Mentor junior engineers and manage project budgets and schedules.
