Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an experienced Substation Protection & Control Engineer to join our transmission substation design team. You will lead protection and control design efforts, provide technical direction, and ensure safe, cost-effective engineering solutions for substation, battery energy storage, and solar projects.

You will mentor junior engineers, manage project schedules and budgets, and contribute to proposals, cost estimation, and business development.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience as a practicing engineer.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree or equivalent evaluation by NCEES.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline work for projects and manage schedules and budgets.
• Provide technical direction on protection and control designs.
• Mentor junior engineers and drafters.
• Support proposals, cost estimating, and business development.
• Visit sites to advise on engineering issues during construction.
• Develop and review P&C design drawings and specifications.
