United Grid Solutions is seeking a senior Substation Protection and Control Engineer to lead design and engineering efforts for transmission substations, battery energy storage, and solar collector facilities. You will guide a team, manage schedules and budgets, and contribute to proposals and cost estimates.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience, ABET-accredited education, and PE licensure or eligibility within one year. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited program.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience in utility substation projects preferred.
• Familiarity with protection and control systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead discipline work for projects and perform responsible charge engineering duties.
• Manage project schedules and budgets; oversee costs and resource allocation.
• Support proposal development and project cost estimating.
• Oversee junior staff, designers, and drafters; mentor team members.
• Read, design, and engineer P&C systems for substations through 500kV; prepare studies and reports.
• Visit sites to advise on P&C issues and modify designs during construction.
