Job summary

United Grid Solutions is seeking an engineer to provide substation protection and control design, engineering support, and project oversight for transmission substation projects, battery energy storage systems, and solar facilities. You will apply protection concepts, develop schemes, and coordinate with design teams on site.

Responsibilities include performing studies, creating reports, interpreting specifications, and supporting construction with technical recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent evaluation.
• 0 to 2 years’ experience as a practicing engineer.
• Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles.

Responsibilities

• Understand protection and control fundamentals for substation equipment.
• Design protection schemes for substation and transmission line equipment.
• Understand SCADA communication design and integration.
• Develop design documentation including diagrams and wiring layouts.
• Perform studies and create reports for coordination and fault analysis.
• Interpret specifications and ensure adherence to customer standards.
• Collaborate with other design disciplines and site visit for issues during construction.
