Job summary

IES Communications is seeking a Technician II - Structured Cabling to lead a crew of installers, coordinate daily workload, and ensure safety and quality standards are met. The role requires installing outlets, mounting backboards, racks, and patch panels, plus testing and troubleshooting cabling systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in telecommunications, ability to read blueprints, and a high school diploma or GED. Onsite work in Texas with competitive pay and company benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Minimum of two (2) years in telecommunications or related tech field with supervisory ability.
• Proficient with listed tools and able to interpret blueprints and project docs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate small groups of installers and lead daily workload.
• Install outlets, mount face plates, racks, and patch panels per standards.
• Perform continuity tests and troubleshoot cabling issues.
• Identify active voice/data circuits and ensure safety/quality compliance.
