E2 Optics in Houston, TX is seeking an on-site Installer/Technician to install structured cabling, read floorplans, and test copper and fiber systems. You will lead a small team and train technicians while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires 2–5 years in cabling, OSHA 30, and BICSI certificates preferred; willingness to travel as needed and ability to work days, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–5 years of work experience in structured cabling or related industry.
• Ability to read and interpret floorplans, drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to travel 5%–50%+ depending on project location and needs.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and train technicians on site.

Responsibilities

• Install structured cabling systems and test copper/fiber as required.
• Read floorplans, drawings, and cut sheets for accurate installs.
• Lead teams of 3–5 technicians and provide on-site training.
• Oversee jobsite organization, safety, and housekeeping.
• Travel as project requires and maintain professional on-site demeanor.
