Job summary

IES is hiring a Technician II - Structured Cabling to read blueprints, determine scope, quantities and materials, and oversee tasks. The role requires assembly and installation of conduit, grounding, and cable tray systems while enforcing safety standards.

You will train crew members, coordinate timelines, and ensure timely IES paperwork. The position is full-time with standard benefits after eligibility, and expectations include strong problem-solving and blueprint interpretation skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in as an electrician, or related technical field and supervise others.
• Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and specifications to determine scope of work, location, quantities and sizes.
• Identify tools and safety precautions required for tasks.
• Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install conduit and related systems.
• Build closets and install grounding for racks and equipment.
• Install raceways and cable tray systems as needed.
• Coordinate crew and timeline to complete projects.
• Complete IES paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, transfers, orders).
• Adhere to safety standards and company quality requirements.
• Perform other assigned responsibilities as needed.
