Job summary

IES Communications is seeking an entry-level Technician I - Structured Cabling I to join our field team. The role supports a technical crew in installing and maintaining structured cabling systems across indoor and outdoor work environments.

Typically, candidates have up to one year of experience in the structured cabling industry and must be able to work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and travel within the branch or regional territory as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Basic construction industry knowledge preferred.
• Must possess and learn to effectively use listed tools.
• Ability to meet Company minimum driving standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install work area outlets for floor/monument, furniture and wall installations.
• Build closets with backboards, racks, patch panels and fiber optics.
• Perform fire-stopping procedures and run cables through sleeves.
• Terminate low-voltage devices.
• Complete IES COMMERCIAL paperwork accurately and on time.
• Adhere to company, customer and industry safety standards.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
