Job summary

E2 Optics is seeking a Field Lead Technician to install and troubleshoot structured cabling systems in advanced data center environments. You will guide a small team, read blueprints, perform copper and fiber tests, and ensure site safety and quality across multiple projects.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in structured cabling, OSHA 30, and BICSI credentials, with strong English communication. Travel will be required; a professional, proactive approach is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 30 within first 2 weeks in role.
• BICSI Installer 2 Copper preferred.
• BICSI Installer 2 Fiber preferred.
• BICSI Certified Technician must be earned within 12 months in role.
• 2–5 years work experience in Structured Cabling or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of 3–5 Technicians and Installers to complete project tasks.
• Install and troubleshoot structured cabling systems (copper and fiber).
• Read floorplans and cut sheets; interpret specifications and test results.
• Train Technicians to perform tasks and align with safety and quality standards.
• Maintain jobsite organization, professionalism, and on-site housekeeping.
• Travel as required (5%–50% depending on region).
