Job summary

Blue Origin in New York is seeking a Test Engineer to lead a small team through structural test campaigns for lunar and spaceflight hardware. You will participate in assembly and test, drive data reduction and analysis, and coordinate with internal customers.

The role requires 5+ years in test-focused aerospace engineering, strong leadership, and a solid grounding in design fundamentals. Expect travel up to 25% and some night/weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for mission: millions living in space.
• BS or MS in aerospace, mechanical, electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years test-specific experience (loads, life cycle, proof, modal, shock or acoustic).
• Ability to supervise a 2-5 engineer team.
• Experience with dispersed rapid development teams and process development.
• Fundamentals of design and environmental considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team through a complete structural test campaign.
• Assemble and test development/flight hardware with planning, execution, data reduction and analysis.
• Identify and procure MGSE and integrate it with test setup.
• Oversee daily test operations and coordinate with internal customers.
• Perform root cause and failure investigations; manage redlines during campaigns.
• Prepare status updates and communicate with stakeholders.
