Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Engineer to lead a small team through structural test campaigns for lunar-related hardware. You will participate in assembly, testing, data analysis, and MGSE integration to ensure safe and reliable spaceflight.

The role focuses on test readiness, problem-solving during campaigns, and coordinating with internal customers while upholding safety standards and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in aerospace/mechanical/electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of test experience in loads, life cycle, proof, modal, shock or acoustic.
• Ability to lead a small team of 2–5 engineers and coordinate tasks.
• Experience with dispersed rapid development teams and process development.
• Strong collaboration and inclusive culture mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of early career engineers through a complete structural test campaign.
• Participate in assembly and test of development and flight hardware, including planning, execution, data reduction, and analysis.
• Identify and assist in design, procurement, and integration of MGSE.
• Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, and coordinate with internal customers.
• Perform root cause analyses and failure investigations for test campaigns.
• Troubleshoot testing issues and manage procedural updates during tests.
