Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Structural Engineering Professional to join our design team. You will perform structural analysis and design, collaborate with the Structural Lead and other disciplines, and help develop concepts and documentation for complex projects.

The role may lead small projects or sub‑leads on larger efforts, with hybrid/remote work possible within the US Southeast region. Strong knowledge of US codes and industry tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with US building codes including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for projects under supervision and lead smaller modules
• Develop design concepts and communicate structural requirements to drawings and models
• Lead a team of engineers and Designers, coordinating with other disciplines
• Ensure quality through detailed checking and adherence to schedule and budget
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team
