Job summary
Blue Origin is seeking a senior structural engineer to lead design and analysis of large steel structural systems and GSE for New Glenn at LC-36. You will perform FEA, review hand calculations, and manage external partners through fabrication, assembly, testing, and activation.

Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, or similar disciplines.
- 7+ years experience with design/analysis/construction of large and complex steel structural systems.
- Experience in structural and mechanical analysis utilizing FEA tools.
- Experience designing and analyzing bolted and welded connections.
- Knowledge of civil engineering codes and standards (IBC, ASCE, AISC, AWS).
- U.S. citizenship or eligible to work in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts for assigned subsystems, independently resolve technical challenges.
- Own and deliver structural design solutions for large structural/mechanical systems.
- Independently perform and review FEA and hand-calcs for complex steel structures.
- Manage external design and fabrication partners through complete project lifecycle, and oversee equipment fabrication, installation, and testing & activation.
