Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to design and deliver large steel structural systems for ground support equipment and launch site infrastructure at Cape Canaveral, FL. You will lead subsystem design efforts, perform FEA/hand-calcs, and manage external partners through full lifecycle.

The role requires a 7+ year background in structural engineering, proficiency with STAAD/ANSYS/SAP2000, and knowledge of IBC/ASCE/AISC. US citizenship or approved residency is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years in design/analysis/construction of large steel structures.
• Experience with FEA tools for structural analysis.
• Experience designing bolted and welded connections.
• Knowledge of IBC/ASCE/AISC/AWS codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for assigned subsystems and resolve technical challenges.
• Own and deliver structural solutions for large systems.
• Perform and review FEA and hand-calcs for steel structures.
• Coordinate with external design/fabrication partners through lifecycle.
